The containerized traffic and the management took as an important constituent of the modern logistics, is playing the vital role in the modern transportation system. The present container management system is mostly based on the localized closed circuit television supervisory system and the manual input container characters. Its hardware facility and the management system cannot satisfied the present container large scale, specialized and the automated request by far. In order to Strengthen the container surveillance and the management system and to realize container operation management automation and to keep steps with international, A container gate intelligent supervision and recognition system based on C/S correspondence mode is proposed.The SOCKET mechanism is used to realize C/S model correspondence between mutlti-spot and one-spot. It is used to transfer images collected from Car Spot Channel to Server Client. On the server client, the technologies of computer vision and digital image proposing and model recognition are used to completed the task of recognizing the container characters.This system helps lower facility cost and strengthen container supervise management and reduce influence of man-made factors.The whole system is composed of for portion namely,user client and server client and business client and C/S correspondence system. This paper only introduces user client and server client and C/S correspondence system. Business client is completed by the third party. After infrared trigger perceive a car and give a signal to user client computer cluster, user client startup video collect equipment and begin to collect video in the rate of 10frame/s,and then image processing module filter these images and select better 4~6 pieces of images,through C/S correspondence system, to transfer to server client to recognize. After accepting these images, server client start to recognize the characters of the container and then send them to the business client.At the end of this paper, an overview of the paper is presented and the existing problems are discussed.
