A Model Design Of The Virus Detection System Based On Immune

Virus Detection System (VDS) is a security protection system which detects the codes that threaten or harm host or network. VDS has gained great attention because of its importance in computer security. Virus detection techniques have been improved a lot these years. However, there are still some limitations in traditional virus detection systems, such as new virus and metamorphic virus detection. Therefore it is necessary to develop new technologies to improve the overall performance of VDS.Biological Immune System (BIS) is a physiological system which protects organism from pathogens. It has some advantages which are quite needed by VDS, such as distributed protection, self-organization, immune memory and robustness. There are amazing similarities between VDS and BIS. So we can make use of some immune principles to improve VDS. Furthermore, honeypot is an active trapping technology emerging recently. It can attract hackers to attack the system and then records all of the activities. This speciality fits for developing the new generation of VDS.Based on the analysis of VDS principles, technologies and structures, we introduce a model of Immune based Virus Detection System (IVDS), combining with immune principles and honeypot. This paper presents structure and execution flow of the pre-detection module and the detection module in detail and analyzes some mechanism and arithmetics related to the detector.Compared with other VDS, IVDS significantly outperforms these models by adding honeypot which allays the amount of analytical data, detects new virus and reduces the false positive. We also use zeroing transformation technology to detect metamorphic virus and meanwhile reduce the amount of antibody with detection time shortened by a long way.
