Nowadays, the technique of information displays acts as an important interface for mankind obtaining information and the effects of Flat Panel Displays (FPDs) are more significant. As an important member branch of FPDs, the technique of EL(electromulinescent) attracts worldwide attention in the fields of science and industry due to its many merits of light weight, low cost, broad visual angle, high response speed, spontaneous light-emitting, high brightness and efficiency, etc. It gradually becomes the international cutting-edge project and the focus of international competition which need the cooperation and research of many intercrossed branches of science.By the use of novel materials, suitable structures and process technologies, and also by the efforts of world known companies, the performances of EL arehave made significant improvement reaching to the level of commercialization.This paper mainly emphasized the influence of ceramic thick film and luminescence film to membrane electroluminescent. A lot of experimentation manifestate the EL's luminance is in relation to the EL's luminescent material ,and also in relation to the thick dielectric film. So the devise of the light–emitting layer and thick dielectric film are the (is an) important factor in the EL displays.I have made an orange electroluminescent device with luminescence film and ceramic thick film, by(using) it to investigate the particularity of EL. The whole structure of the device is ITO / internal electrodes / thick dielectric film/ light–emitting layer/ITO. Thereinto lumine- scent film was prepared by electron beam evaporation, ceramic thick film was prepared by silk screen press, back electrode Al was prepared by heat evaporation. Study electrolum- inescent mechanism of the ZnS:Mn device.Investigate the quality insulator which using the ternate system PMN-PCW-PT ceramic thick film,The electroluminescent performance of the EL devices with the different processing of ceramic thick film has been investigated in detail. analyze the electroluminescent charact- erizations of orange CTFEL and methods to increase it's brightness.By(In) my research, We optimized the structure of the device,for example the parameter of the insulation film and luminescence film which deeply influence the EL's age and luminance Result shows that a thick film electroluminescent device has lower threshold voltage and less dielectric wastage than a thin film electroluminescent device .A TDEL device avoids cross phenomenon effectively.
