Due to the quantum size effect, minor dimension effect, and interface effect, nanomaterial has shown a series of excellent properties, including electronic, magnetic, optics, mechanical, optoelectronic and so on. Nanocomposite material not only can exhibit the properties of the single one but also can enlarge and enhanced it has received a great interesting in recent years. ZnO and TiO2 are both the important semiconductor material, based on the different properties of their band gap stucture, the photoelectrnic properties can be improved and enhanced by their coupling in nanoscale. In this letter, we will study synthesis method and optical properties of the ZnO-TiO2 composite system.Firstly, Using Ti(OC4H9)4 as raw material, based on the sol-gel method to synthesis the TiO2 colloid, The factor affect the properties of the colloid and the best condition to prepare the colloid was studied. And by dipping technique the extra-fine TiO2 thin film was synthesis through the colloid. Samely, Using Zn(Ac)2 as raw material, ZnO thin film, zno nanorod were prepared using ZnO colloid synthesis by sol-gel method. The samples were investigated by XRD, SEM, Uv-vis, respectively. The characterization and optical properties were studied and the reason of the optical emission of ZnO was discussed.Finally, based on the former work, three different nanocomposite system were prepared, including: ZnO-TiO2 nanocomposite films, ZnO-TiO2 multi-naocomposite films, system of ZnO-nanorod and TiO2. The samples were characterized by XRD, TEM, Uv-vis respectively. It was found that the optical absorption band edge of TiO2 and optical emission intensity of ZnO were affected.
