With the rapid developing of communication, competition becomes more and more serious. The quality of communication network service has become a key point to succeed. As a supporting network, No.7 signalling network plays a very important role in operation. Its security, stability and efficiency are directly relation to the quality and profit of communication.At first, the workload of the signalling does not increase linearly with the increase of the service running in network, special multi-type services and application. Second, telecom innovation requires corporations enhance interconnection and intercommunication. Many problems need to be resulted, such as how to make full use of signalling network and how to increase efficiency and lower maintain cost? how to guarantee the reliability in operating and achieve a perfect communication quality and correct charge in interconnection and intercommunication etc. All of them face to Operation and Maintain Department and the department related to it in each communication corporation.Traditional signalling maintaining usually be employed in the No.7 signalling machine itself and the testing instrument addition. Its advantage is that its operation is simply and facile. Its function is maturity and the user interface is friendly. Few training is needed to it.But the shortage still exists. First, jointing an addition testing instrument in signalling network repeatedly could influence normal user call. Second, an instrument with single function is not fit for the whole network.In China, No.7 signalling network is developed increasingly and users over it become more and more. The method of management and maintaining signalling network is turned from distribution into centralization. Currently most of the telecom corporations adopt a separateness supervisor system to address the centralized management.Jilin Network Communication Corp. constructed Signalling No.7 Monitor System to realize centralized management since 2001. Its architecture is divided with two lays, a monitor center of province and local monitor stations in each city or area, connected with WAN. We used the instruments provided by Zhong Chuang Signalling monitor LTD. Local monitor stations complete data collection and processing. It moniter, maintains and analyzes the data in local No.7 signalling network independently from the central system. Monitor center could supervisor each local network to realize centralized monitor, centralized analysis and centralized maintaining. It is installed in Network Management Center of Jilin network communication Corp.Each local No.7 signalling monitor system also adopts distributed architecture composed with remote stations and center station connected with each other by DDN. Center station is in charge of collecting the alarm and statistic data to realize the real-time supervisor and maintaining. Remote stations complete the collecting of signalling information to create data of CDR (CALL DETAILED RECORD) and TDR ( TRANSACTION DETAILED RECORD).In 2005 Jilin Network Communication Corp. reconstructed and intelligentized the network in Jilin province. We constructed two independent tandem exchanges in nine cities and areas which are provided with the function of convergence link inside. According to the scheme of Local Network Intellectualization, each city or area will adopt a new network architecture in which all calls can be transmitted to the independent tandem exchanges which are the center of exchange core. Hence it is necessary that we increase the capability and reconstruct No.7 Signalling monitor System to guarantee the stabilization of network.The thesis investigates No.7 signalling monitor in Jilin Network Communication Corporation. We analyze its architecture, specially the ultimately changes after it is intelligentized. We analyze the shortage of the No.7 signalling network currently and illuminate it is necessary to reconstruct to increase its capability. We also proposed a scheme about how to increase the capability of the No.7 Signalling monitor System.The thesis is organized as follows.Section 1 introduces the theories of No.7 signalling and its network, including its developing, concept, function and architecture.Section 2 presents the theories of No.7 signalling monitor system, including its components, software and hardware, function and engineering. Analyze the problem existing currently and point out it is a necessary to reconstruct a new architecture.Section 4 proposes a scheme of reconstruction in detail.
