| With the development of modern manufacture technology, CAD/CAM system has come to be widespread accepted by people. The demand for data-exchange criterion of producing in-process will appear, the STEP standard has the advantages of complement information, compact construction, easy reading and processing by computer, which starts to be remarked and used. Then data-exchange interface based on STEP is exploited by many well-known CAD software companies. At the same time, with the wider of applied range in engineer, and the deeper of applied depth. So in the course of application many technologies are required to study.In this paper, simply summarized the composition of STEP standard and EXPRESS language with the feature of object-orientation, analyzed the data type and information model composition of EXPRESS language. Using AP203 agreement as the main study object, data integration system model of CAD product based on STEP is put forward. Under the circumstance of integration, to delivery information among CAD, CAE, CAPP, CAM and other systems is usually required. Using file swap mode is hard to meet the needs for large delivery data and complex structure, thus, required to use data base swap mode, which is the information sharing in higher level, that is the object of STEP technology. In this paper, using data base to realize the solving method of data-switching technology, the program of building product-information model, creating a data dictionary and creating entity base table as well as building product-information database are discussed.Finally, a detailed application for solving method is given, using Pro/E as development platform, using EXPRESS language provided by STEP as the expression language of model and having VC++ as development tool, a CAD data exchange system is built including data model, pre-postprocessor, data dictionary and data base, which effectively realize the sharing for data information of product. |
