Due to the opening air-interface of wireless world, security in the M-Commerce attracts more attention. M-Commerce will expand successfully only when all customers make sure cheat or distort cannot take place in a bargain process in wireless world and the bargain can be acknowledged by the law with the protected privacy. Through WPKI (Wireless Public Key Infrastructure), which has became a hot spot in the research field of mobile network security in recent years, the security demands in M-Commerce, such as confidentiality, integrity, authenticity and nonrepudiation, are satisfied and the risk during bargaining is avoided.In this paper, many research works have been done on WPKI system infrastructure, WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) protocol stack and TLS (Transport Layer Security) protocol. By analyzing the WAP Gateway insecurity spot of WPKI system which is based on WAP1.x protocol stack, a new security communication model for WPKI system is proposed. This model is well supported by WAP2.0 protocol stack and adopts traditional model of security communication model as reference. Because of the introduced of Wireless TCP and Wireless IP protocols into WAP2.0 protocol stack, this model use TLS protocol instead of WTLS protocol to provide improved end-to-end security between the Client and Server.In order to investigate WPKI completely, by using of OPNET, a WAP2.0 based simulation platform for WPKI has been established. The mobile terminal and WAP gateway node model, which has private process model corresponding to actual protocol of TLS etc, is implemented in the network topology of OPNET. According to each state in the process mode, different input/output C codes are programmed. These codes are applied to TLS message flow, handshake flow and messages.For evaluating TLS protocol, a communication model of one station and multiple mobile users has been designed. Through the simulation of 10 and 500 mobile nodes model, the protocol's simulation performance results have been acquired. The established model is proved to be usable by the important indexes, including packet response time, jitter, utilizing rate of radio channel and throughput of WAP gateway.According to the above WPKI security communication model, some correlative researches on application of mobile OA system have been done. An application of mobile OA system which is based on WPKI is presented. The design of application is focused on the architecture and some key technologies of mobile OA. Finally, the system security is analyzed and the application is proved to be effective.
