A Study On The Application Of Association Rule Mining To Psychoanalysis

With the mature application of Database technology and rapid development of Internet technology, accumulated data are exponentially increasing. We have gone through the time with no data to be used, but are facing to the problem of how to epurate useful knowledge from massive data. For these massive data people are not satisfied with the traditional methods of queries and statistics, but longing to find deeper regulations and relations between data to provide support to decision makers. So data mining technology emerged. Association rule mining is a branch of data mining technology. With the definite minimal support and minimal confidence, association rule mining can discover the relations between data from transaction database, and represent them as the association rules.The main works of this paper are as follows:1. We discussed data mining technology, including it's background, normal procedure, normal technique and methods, and current difficulties and challenges.2. We discussed association rule mining technology, including it's background, problem description, normal mining procedure, mining category, and the problems which current algorithms are facing.3. We discussed classical algorithms of association rules mining, including Apriori algorithm and SETM algorithm.4. To solve the dissatisfactory data compression problem of classical algorithms by using horizontal data layout transaction database, we present the FCI-based storage structure of transaction database, which uses vertical data layout. Then we studied algorithms for mining frequent itemset, which were based on the FCI-based storage structure of transaction database.5. Applied the association rule mining algorithm base on the FCI-based storage structure of transaction database to the Group Mental Health Evaluation System. We analyzed the relations between different psychological factors by doing association rule mining from the testing data, to provide evidence for psychotherapy and to maintain people's mental health.
