The infrared photograph technology is in the rapid development, the image stabilizing question becomes the international scientific research topic currently that the authors majoring in optics pay attention to. Because the majority of thermal imaging systems are loaded on the movement carrier, the carrier stochastic vibrates affects directly optical quality of the thermal imaging system, therefore thermal imaging system on the carrier must be image stabilizing system, which can meet the requirements of the high distinguish rate. The dynamic optics theory is optical image stabilizing foundation, it may be applied in each kind of type the image stabilizing system's design in thermal imaging system .Apply the dynamic optics theory to solve the image stabilizing system's problem, the physical conception is clear, the computation is simple.The paper introduced the image stabilizing theory foundation, development of the image stabilization technology, each kind of image stabilizing basic principle and characteristic, and outlined optical image stabilizing basic principle. According to the dynamic optics theory, the paper discussed conjugate relations between object and image of the plane mirror image stabilizing way, and inferred image stabilizing equation; According to the infrared characteristic as well as the infrared optical system's characteristic, studied plane mirror image stabilizing infrared thermal imaging system's optical system. The conclusion is that the plan of the thermal imaging system using the plane mirror image stabilizing is reasonable and feasible. Finally studied testing image stabilizing precision's principle , the testing system's constitution and the computational method.
