With the development of the science and technology and the fast increasing of the users for the mobile phone, the 3G technology receives more and more recognition .The Multi-user detection technology is one of the most important technology for the 3G technology; the routine receiver of the CDMA uses the structure of the matched filter. But this structure does not consider the entity of the interfere of the multi-address in the channel. So it can only release the problem but not deal with it drastically. The only solution is that : to improve the system capacity using the Multi-user detection technology.This paper introduces the principles of CDMA and the Multi-user detection firstly, then pays more attention to the analysis of the different Multi-user detection methods. Through the comparison for these methods, DEC (Decorrelating Detector) has both simpleness and superiority. So the DEC becomes the goal for the realization of this paper.Then the paper gives the research for the principle of the DEC .We provide the process of the design for the whole system, including the hardware and the software. The hardware is based on the DSP(TMS320C5402 from TI) and the FPGA (EP1K10Q208-3 from Altera);The software is based on the C language.This paper gives the research for the MUD, and gives a solution for the DEC, so it has effect in both theory and application field .
