Designing and actualizing wireless local area network engineering of Electrical Power Building in shanxi province is the intention of this paper. The research method that combining theory with engineering fact is adopted, the network structure scheme of Electrical power Building is designed. The indoor propagation path in the frequency band of 2.4 GHz of radio signals are analyzed based on the indoor architecture structure of Electric Power Building, the correlation parameters of radio wave propagation loss indoor that are suitable for construction characteristics of Electrical Power Building are advanced. The specific settlement mechanism and integrated security deploy for safety problem existed in WLAN are presented, certification and accounting mechanism schemes that can be applied to Electrical Power Building are designed. Design principle and method about wireless access point AP layout of Electrical Power Building is analyzed and studied, AP distribution points are designed and determined,signal coverage in Electrical Power Building is also realized. The measured results showed it satisfy engineering design requirement.
