With the development of communication technologies mobile communication has changed our lifestyles. While in industry WDS (Wireless Data Station) is widely used in places where are much dispersived and tanglesomed and areas which are hard for lineate communications and real-time data transferring highly required. WDS has become the key factor of the development of industry.Software defined Radio (SDR) was first used in military affairs, for the similarity in the implementation with industrial WDS more and more companies begin to provide more money and research on it for wider use. With rapid development of VLSI, ultra-speed DSP is designed, which makes SDR be implemented at present. The emphases of this paper are below: giving the detailed description on the theory and implementation of Digital Down-Convert (DDC) and modulation and demodulation ofπ/4-DQPSK, designing hardware and software models of the digital processing part in WDS on a TMS320C6201EVM.In this paper we introduce key techniques and development status of the SDR; give a scheme of WDS which is based on the SDR; make an analysis of the theory of DDC and implement it in software and simulate the model in Matlab; describe the theory of modulation and demodulation of DQPSK and implement it in software and simulate the model in Matlab; design the hardware model of the digital processing part in WDS on a TMS320C6201EVM; make the algorithm and interface programming in the DSP compatible to the hardware model; describe configurations of memories, interrupts, DMA, McBSP and some of other peripheral equipments in the DSP particularly.
