Due to the instability of the helicopter in static, flight control system is necessary to help pilot control helicopter. The autopilot is the core of the helicopter flight control system. To ensure the flight safety, the flight control system test should be carried out thoroughly. In this paper, the test system is developed for a helicopter autopilot. Autopilot integrative test system can accomplish the component test and the system combine test, which are stipulated in the test precis. The state of autopilot can be confirmed based on the test result.First, introduce the history and characteristic of helicopter. The function of autopilot and the principle of helicopter control system were analyzed thoroughly. At the same time, the author of this article reviews the test technology which were used in the integrative test system and the definition, development and kind of the test equipment.Second, test object -autopilot was analyzed thoroughly in the paper, including function, component and principle. What is the function that test system need can be confirmed by the analyse of autopilot. It is important to differentiate all kinds of signals.Third, Master-slave distributed structure was used in the test system. Based on this structure, the test system can be divided three parts: data process computer, intelligence board and signal transform cell.Fourth, describe design method and debugging of the hardware part of test system. The task of hardware part focuses on the design of intelligence board and ARINC429 board.Fifth, describe design method and debugging of the software part of test system. Test software can be divided master software and salve software. The emphasis of test system software design put on the function module and software interface, which are programmed with the C++ Builder6.0 by the method of facing to object.Finally, the test results were fully analyzed in the paper. The comparison of test results and autopilot output signals showed that all the curves matched closely, the index parameters were consistent and the error limit in the range.The application results show that the system is steady, reliable, ease for use and extension friendly.
