Radio frequency identification (RFID) technology is an untouched auto-identification technology which had been raised in 60's-70's last century. Now RFID technology is used in a lot of facets of industry manufacture and everyday life, but there is a hidden trouble which can't be ignored in RFID system, it is lack of security mechanism, so RFID is not able to protect its date effectively. Currently security of RFID has been an important factor which restricts RFID used on a large scale. This article expatiates on existent security problem and privacy problem of RFID system in detail, at the same time, analyzes and evaluates the existing security protocols which are used in RFID system, then points out its shortages. Ground on these works, my article affords a security mechanism based on elliptic curve cryptography, the data changed between RFID tag and reader can be protected by this mechanism. My article also analyzes the protocol which is constructed by the security mechanism in the round.
