In this paper, scheduling in multiuser orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) broadband wireless access system is investigated. The support of Quality of Service (QoS) for unsolicited grant service (UGS), real-time polling service (rtPS), Extended real-time polling service (Ertps), non-real-time polling service (nrtPS), best effort (BE) and other data services are discussed. And the restrictions in the air interface are analyzed. The objective is to maximize the resource utilization in a network, while a required QoS per user is satisfied. A fair scheduling algorithm is used to determine the bandwidth allocation to different users based on their required QoS. The solution for the problem is presented and its performance is studied. And an iterative algorithm is also proposed to improve the performance. |
