Study On Digital Image Scrambling Effect

Scrambling transform is not only a simple and efficient method for image encrypting, but also a common preprocessing means of image hiding. First, we introduce spatial scrambling methods in classification and analysis their scrambling theory, and then starting from the goal of scrambling, the concept of "chaos state" is introduced into depicting the expected scrambling result. After discussing factors that influence the effect of image scrambling, we provide an evaluating equation for image scrambling degree. As shown in the experimental results, the proposed image scrambling degree can describe the scrambling effect well. In hiding information, it is helpful to find better transform with comparing scrambling efficiency and scoring the image scrambling degree.
