Research On A Framework For Run-Time Adaptability Of Web Service

The development of Web Service is transited from the popularization to large-scale integration and application. In the transition, Web service composition derived from the thought of workflow becomes the key point of research. Web service composition is the best technical solution for improvement of the Web service reusability right now. In the field of efficient execution and improvement of working efficiency on Web service composition, the work on the run-time adaptability of Web service is at beginning. An intact efficient framework of supporting the run-time adaptability of Web service makes the execution of Web service(including Web service composition) more efficient and flexible. In this research background, a theoretical research and experimental validation have been done.The concept of precondition is proposed in this framework, and a innovative improvement to the core element of run-time adaptability of Web service—find and bind mechanism is done. On the basis of improved find and bind mechanism, WSDL with semantic information and the improved BPEL syntax, an intact framework of supporting the run-time adaptability of Web service is proposed. In the aspect of experimental validation, a sufficient research on the open source project—ActiveBPEL has been done and enhanced to realize the framework. In the process of enhancement, it utilizes the newest program technology—aspect-oriented program(AOP).The following five aspects of work are included in this paper:A kind of proposed framework of supporting run-time adaptability of Web serviceResearch and improvement on the find and bind mechanism for supporting the run-time adaptability of Web serviceImproving BPEL to support the find and bind mechanismExtending the WSDL to make the Web service description language take the semantic information for the need of service choosingResearching, analyzing and enhancing the ActiveBPEL.
