Research And Implementation Of Mobile VPN

With the development of wireless access technologies and IPv6 , Internet becomes more and more wideband, wireless and mobility. ISPs pay more attention on the Mobile VPN, which will be one of the main services in 3G. However, as a new technology Mobile VPN is full of problems, and these problems impact the deployment of Mobile VPN. The purpose of this paper is to propose a new Internal Network Detection mechanism based on Mobile IPv6 which helping mobile node to judge whether it need VPN tunnel or not. After the solution in theory, the implementation is provided and experimentations are carried out. The most innovative idea of this paper is to complect the mobile detection of Mobile IPv6 and VPN detection. This makes the mechanism more efficient and easy to implement, what's more, the solution is compatible with IPv4/v6 coexistence condition. As IPv4 won't be displaced by IPv6 in Internet soon, the coexistence of two networks will be a long period. In the end , the paper gives the deficiency of the new detection, and then prospect the mobile VPN developments for future.
