In our country, railway is the most important means of transportation, and even we can consider the railway as the main artery of our national economy. Railway is really a complicated integrative system, and communication is an important integrant of such a system. Especially when we are actualizing bullet train step by step, it become more important for us to develop advanced communication in for railway. We must make sure that various scheduling command for trains'running are transferred efficiently and exactly. On the other hand, we can also do some equipment maintenances and operational management and provide passengers with plenty of services by introducing advanced communication. However, the actual state of bullet train is that we are now in a relatively low level in communication and control based on communication, and this state is maladjusted with other side of our railway traffic, moreover such state affects the whole development of railway greatly.Bullet train is based on the advanced digital mobile communication network. In this paper, GSM-R is analyzed and a propositional OFDM-SFNR model of using OFDM-SFN in bullet train is raised, and the improvement on handover in bullet train is mainly analyzed. The first chapter of the paper introduces the development of bullet train. Then we present an analysis on current GSM-R in the second chapter. We also figure out the disadvantage of GSM-R. In the following chapter 3, we make a description of OFDM-SFN system and its advantages to GSM-R. Moreover we propose a system model that can be used in bullet train communications, called OFDM-SFNR. We make an outline of the handover in this model. In the forth chapter, we analyze the performance of handover in such a system model. We conclude the whole paper in the last chapter and make future plan of our study.
