The frequency range of EMC test is very broad. If the usable bandwidth of the antenna used in EMC test is too narrow the quantity of antenna will be unacceptable. So in EMC test the bandwidth of antenna is commonly broad. There are all kinds of antennas used in EMC test such as biconical antennas, log periodic antenna, helical antenna, ridged horn antenna and etc.In this thesis, first we design a pair of biconical antennas. Then based of it, we combine the log periodic antenna with the biconical as a broadband assembled antenna. These antennas are used in RF absorber arch test, radiant susceptibility test etc.The antenna parameters such as VSWR, gain are calculated and the dimensions of the antennas are optimized. These electrical parameters of antennas which are widely used in EMC test are compared with the antennas which are designed in this thesis, and the result is that the latter is better. This is the anticipant result.
