With the development of the information technology, Wireless Laser Communication (WLC) system is becoming the hot topic and generally highly regarded in the world. This thesis mainly focuses about the research of desigh and improvement for WLC system.The characteristics, the application and the development of WLC system. are introduced firstly. We discuss the principle of the system in detail, analyse the difficulties and the key technologies. A new style of WLC system is developed. In our prototype system,the optical module and the electron module are separately designed, so the system can be devided into two parts: the optical antenna and the transceiver module. We make a paired of the prototype systems careflly and it is sure that the system can be applied in communication between one-kilometer distance with a rate of 155Mbps after the many times experimental tests in the lab and field.We also emphasized a kind of simple bit-error tester proposed for the WLC. and FPGA is used to be the logic control core parts of the bit-error tester.To improve the performance of the prototype system and enhance the quality and reliability of communication, furthermore, the thesis study the Acqusition,Pointing,Tracking (APT) subsystem of the WLC system.
