Research & Design Of Graphical Framework On Terminal

With the developments in computing technology, embedded systems are widely used increasingly. For some embedded devices and terminals, a slight and fast graphical system becomes quite indispensable. Hence, it is necessary to research and design the graphical system (Graphical User Interface, GUI) for embedded systems.At first, after analyzing the existing embedded OS, the thesis designs embedded GUI based on Linux because of the free, open-source of Linux. The thesis introduces several existing embedded GUI systems and compares them each other, and then brings out the framework of an embedded GUI system with sub-component architecture. Then the thesis principally analyses the design and implementation of its subsystems including GDI subsystem, window subsystem and message subsystem, and brings out the creation of private memory manager, which can achieve higher performance. Finally, the thesis makes some related tests for the embedded GUI, and points out the future of the embedded GUI. Furthermore, in order to satisfy the requirements of special condition, the thesis brings out how to extend widgets based on Qt/Embedded.
