With the development of IT technology, people need better performance of fixed telephone network, TV Broadcasting network , Internet, which accelerates the progress of The Amalgamation of Three networks & NGN. As an important and advanced technology, the research in Cablebridge can prepare for the construction of NGN and homenetwork sufficiently. Its strongpoint is low cost , easy deployment and satisfy the request of NGN in function and performance. The main research content includes the topology structure of access network, Cablebridge physical speciality, the driver program of network interface and network services, Web long-distance control system. On the other side , the application of NGN such as VoIP will play an important role in the research.At first, the paper will introduce the development of Cablebridge , the combination of three networks & its topology structure, and more, discuss the theory and designment of Cablebridge equipment, put forward its hardware & software project on the basis of work behind.At last, we collect and analyze the testing data of Cablebridge equipment in the NGN environment. Based on the forward works, we put forward the possibility of modification and conclusion.
