Time-interleaving sample technique that can improve the speed and performance of ADC system is a very effective method on the application of using relatively low speed circuits to realize high speed and high performance ADC systems. First of all, the basic principles and implementation methods of the traditional time-interleaving technique and the time-interleaving ADC systems that employ the advanced digital post-processing techniques are introduced in this paper. Based on available theories, the mismatching effects on the performances of time-interleaving ADC systems are analyzed. The emulate figures are obtained in this paper, and deep analysis is made to them. Then the effects of the periphery assistant circuits on dynamic characteristics of the conversion circuits are given. At last, according to the practical experiences in prevenient projects, a four-channel time-interleaving ADC system based on AD9445 is proposed. The functions of each module and feasibilities of the system are analyzed. Incorporating Combined with the best available ADC architectures and advanced DSP technologies, the time-interleaving technique is ready to take high speed ADC systems to the next level of performance.
