Smart antenna can improve the frequency efficiency, enhance the communication capacity. It has become a key technique for the third generation mobile communication. As core of the smart antenna, beam-forming algorithms have become a hot topic in the study of mobile communication.In this paper, the channel characteristics of wireless communication are analyzed, and the channel model used in space processing receiver is given. Next, the basic principles of smart antenna technique along with its characteristics are introduced. Several typical adaptive beam-forming algorithms are simulated, and the performances and conditions of such algorithms are analyzed. By simulation, the main factors which influence the performances of smart antenna are given. Based on the study of adaptive beam-forming algorithms for CDMA system , a novel algorithm aimed to solve the problem of heavy calculation load in LS-DRMTCMA is proposed. The simulation results proved that adoption of this novel algorithm can achieve a smaller BER(Bit Error Rate) .In the end, the role smart antenna plays in the third generation mobile communication together with its developing direction and the main problems in realization are discussed. |
