This paper mainly expatiates the design of signal processor for SAR imaging real-time signal processing.With the rapid progress in radar imaging techniques, the system requires a higher technique of digital signal processing. SAR imaging has the characteristics of complex arithmetic , large calculation and huge dada, and this requires the system of signal processing has a high performance ,large memory, and fast transmission. This paper expatiates the basic arithmetic of SAR imaging, and gives a design of parallel processing with Compact PCI bus, multi-DSP and multi-board for SAR imaging. Then ,the paper introduces the standard bus of PCI /Compact PCI, bridge chip PCI9656 ,and compares the primary kinds of DSP. This paper pays emphasis on the design of memory I/O, includes SRAM, FLASH, and SDRAM, gives a method for huge capability memory with SDRAM by using the controller of TS101, and introduce the communications between DSP by link I/O. This paper describes in detail the communication between DSP and host, this design is achieved through the PCI bridge chip,PCI9656 and CPLD, describes in details the master and slave mode of PCI9656,and signals between PCI bus and local bus conversed bye CPLD, at last, gives the circuit diagram and scheduling picture.The work of the paper tries to provide some valuable experience in designing and developing a real-time processor for radar imaging.
