Speed needs increasing repeatedly in radar real-time signal processing. Processing element with high performance, namely new DSP, should be used in real-time parallel processing system. A simple general-purpose parallel processing system and some signal processing programs have been made tentatively, with a purpose to develop and apply ADSP2 1160 in high-speed real-time parallel signal processing. The new DSP and technique about real-time parallel processing have been summarized in former two chapters. Chapter 3 gives some advice on ADSP21 160 system design and an example. ADSP2 1160 code porting and SIMD (single instruction, multiple data) optimization have been studied, respectively in chapter 4 and in chapter 5, in the course of software development for the new DSP. The work of the paper provided valuable experience inapplying the new DSP in high-speed real-time parallel signal processing.
