Study Of Software Defect Management Based On Statistical Process Control

With the expansion of software development scale and increase of complexity, the workload of the software test and defect management largely increases, and the proportion they are in the whole development workload increases rapidly. On the one hand, for the increase of the workload of processing the software defect, management of the software defect shows its importance in software project gradually; on the other hand, in the development of complex software system, the architecture of software architecture and the development team's organization become more complex, a defect from birth to the solution or avoidance, maybe involve many development personnel and teams, and the situation like this lowers the efficiency of defect processing. So in the development of complexity large-scale software, the simple defect management is not able to meet the demand of software development. Study the new software defect management, the technology and the tool to support the management process of software defect, thus increase the productivity of the software project and the quality becomes the hot spot gradually.The purpose of this thesis is applying statistic process control technology to the software defect management, so the thesis first studies the theory of software defect management deeply, such as the introduction to the software defect definition, the characteristic and the classification, and the software defect statistical tool. Then introduces the software defect management goal, the flow and the role, as well as the collection, reorganization, analysis and use of defect information, analyzes and compares some tools commonly used of software defect management. Subsequently discusses the theory of the statistics process control, the definition determination criterion, the control limits computational method and the process ability definition of statistics process control technology the control chart, takes these as the basis of software defect measure, and applies these theories to the statistics of the software defect.
