Due to the rapid development of the computer hardware, software and the numerical calculation science, the computer simulation technology has a newly trend and transformation from numerical simulation to the visualizing simulation. To improve the cognition and comprehension of the results of the simulation, the paper discusses the modeling method of the visualizing simulation. The main work includes as follows:1) After reviewing the existent research for the computer simulation and visualizing simulation, some problems related to visualizing simulation are presented.2) From the viewpoint of the cognition science, the cognition misunderstandings of the results of the visualizing simulation are analyzed. The purpose of visualizing simulation is to make people know the nature of the things, so the cognition misunderstandings should be cancelled in the modeling.3) Based on the catastrophe theory, the paper analyzes some reasons for the cognition misunderstandings of the results of the three-dimensional visualizing simulation among different persons. The reasons could be considered as the basic for the modeling of the visualizing simulation based on the drama theory.4) The modeling of the visualizing simulation based on the drama theory is presented. The expression art and inditement methods are applied into the visualizing simulation, which could enrich the representation of model and be useful for the comprehension of the simulation result, in order to promote the change from perceptual knowledge to rational knowledge.5) Based on the thought above and the technology of GIS Component, OOP, VB.net, the visualizing simulation software for project construction, NETVS, is developed. NETVS is successfully applied to the visualizing analysis for the construction schedule of the Jin'anqiao Hydropower Station, which validates the rationality and validity of the thought in this thesis.
