Designing And Application Of Wireless Public Call Monitoring System

Wireless Public Call (WPC) is a kind of local call and long distance call service which is supplied to users in wireless access way by mobile telecommunication operators who make use of the resource of mobile communication network such as GSM or CDMA, and its agility, convenience, mobility, wide applicability, and especially low tariff attract a large number of users. However, low tariff at the same time also causes many problems, for example it stimulates the users to roam to use, separate card from telephone set, sell telephone set and so on. Therefore we need an effective management method to manage WPC users and guarantee the good development of WPC.Wireless Public Call Monitoring System (WPCMS) is a powerful supplement of Business Supporting System (BSS). It can monitor WPC users, find the problems of roaming to use, separating card from telephone set, and zero usage users in time, and analyze user cost, and consumption preference providing foundation for improving WPC management.This paper takes a certain WPCMS as an example, and introduces the processes of system design and realization in detail on the basis of sufficient understanding of the background and significance of the system. The paper studies and describes the whole development process of WPCMS in terms of WPCMS requirements analysis, database designing, WPCMS structural designing, module designing in detail, WPCMS implementation and so on, which is a successful application of relations database theory and software engineering theory. In the concrete development course, by analyzing the development methods and system characteristics of common database application systems, we adopt a development method incorporating structured method and object-oriented method for system development, SQL Server2000 as database management system, C/S model, and object-oriented development environment PowerBuilder9.0 as development tool.At the end of the paper, we point out that although the system is developed for a certain branch company of the certain mobile telecommunication operators, its universality makes it applicable for other branch companies.
