Digital TV is a new type of broadcasting technology that will be a revolution in the history of TV development. The project comes from Shanghai Broadcasting Laboratory: Domestic production of the DTV transmitter. I undertake the design of local oscillator of the DTV transmitter's up-converter. The integrative frequency synthesis technology of DDS and PLL is adopted in the project.The hybrid frequency synthesis technology---DDS+PLL used in the project have many advantages. Using the method, the merits of DDS such as super fine frequency resolution,high frequency accuracy,easy programmed can be combinated with the merits of PLL, such as narrow-band filter and wide-band tracing. Thereby, the function and specification of the DTV transmitter can be realized.
