GPU-Based Non-Photorealistic Rendering Of Chinese Ink Drawing

The non-photorealistic rendering now has rapid development. It is applied in the fields of movie, video game and CG animation. We do research in the Chinese ink drawing based on Graphics Processing Unit, and combine the NPR and Chinese traditional art by using new graphics hardware technology. The research result can contribute to the development of Chinese painting's application on computer and the related entertainment industry.This paper proposes a method to transform 3D models to Chinese painting style in real-time, after studying Chinese ink drawing features and investigating the development in NPR and studying the knowledge of GPU.
