The short-wave communication, having the long development history, is an impotant communication means that mankind developed at the early age, and also is a kind of the effective long-distance wireless communication with very low cost. In the development process of communication, the short-wave communication once played an important role. In recent year, along with rapid technical development of the short-wave communication the short-wave communication is used by people again. The combination of short-wave communication with Computer technique and advanced DSP technologies including adaptive technique also make up the weakness of traditional short-wave communication system. This paper is focusing on a study of the third generation of the short-wave adaptive modulation protocol-CLOVER2000. Targeting at the identification of CLOVER2000 modulated signals, the statistical characteristics and spectrum correlation are discussed and analyzed with respect to different modulated signals in terms of spectrum correlation function, and some identifying parameters, including instantaneous amplitude, the number of peak value in the spectrum and correlation coefficient, are withdraw acoording to the above characteristics. Based on above discussion a practical recongnition scheme and the corresponding routine is provided, and simulation results are presented which prove the feasibility of the scheme sugested in this paper.Because of large quantity of spectrum correlation, using the statistical characteristics of spectrum correlation, the characteristics of signals in time domain and the technique of intensification of spectrum correlation, this paper presents an improved identification algorithm which advances identifications efficiency obviously.
