This thesis mainly discusses fairness of electronic payment (E-payment) protocols.Fairness and non-repudiation are two necessary properties of secure E-payment protocol, and non-repudiation is the precondition of fairness. In this thesis, we first introduce fundamental knowledge of E-payment protocol, and then discuss the fairness and non-repudiation of payment protocols in detail. Finally, we design several secure E-payment protocols in scenarios of electronic goods and substantial goods, also we provide the analysis and comparison of the fairness as well as non-repudiation of each protocol, and discuss the schemes'characteristics. The most prominent characteristic of our protocols is that we get rid of the traditional Trusted Third Party (TTP), and all protocols satisfy fairness and non-repudiation by using concurrent signature scheme. Therefore both the benefits of customers and merchants can be protected, the scheme simplifies the process of transaction flow and the network congestion brought by a traditional TTP can be avoided.
