Research And Implementation Of The Knowledge Base System Of Medical Image Based On XML

A medical image expert system, which is based on the principles and methodologies developed in the fields of artificial intelligence and expert system, is a applied software that attempts to simulate the thoughts and the processes of diagnose and therapy of medical experts. It can help doctors solving complicated medical problems, and also can serve as an important assistant tool of doctors. Medical image expert system, which is the closed combination of knowledge engineering and medical image, is an important application of artificial intelligence in medical science. It is also a cross-descipline of medicine, computer science, network technique, communications and database technique. Now, it has been a significant component of modern medical image science.For solving the occlusive problem of knowledge base in associated expert system, a medical knowledge base system based on XML is studied and developed in this paper. The completed system can also solve the great difficulties in diagnosis of medical images and imbalance problem of diagnosis level in nowadays. Based on XML, a representation method for rule knowledge is proposed. Owing to the knowledge with different structures in the medical image knowledge base, XML is adopted for integration to realize the unified representation of knowledge, which forms the basis for interactive usage of knowledge. Furthermore, combined with instances, detailed representation modalities are presented. On the basis of these, the assistant diagnosis of knowledge base is realized, which analyzes the XML documents in the rule set with JDOM technology. Then, an effectively knowledge acquisition method for diagnose knowledge based on genetic algorithm (GA) is proposed. The standardization is performed with XML, and then the diagnose rules are abstracted by the knowledge learning method based on GA for the non-structure original data such as cases, which realizes the active knowledge acquirement. Finally, the internet oriented medical image knowledge base system is established based on J2EE and XML. With effective combination of XML and J2EE, the developed system can realize many important functions such as knowledge login, disease login, knowledge acquisition, knowledge management, assistant diagnosis and so on.The practice test results illustrate that the developed system is not only adaptive to the application in the internet environment and distributed processing, but also extensible as a result of independence on the software and hardware platform. It is believed that the system is favorable maneuverability and has great application value.
