The 3D visualization of medical images is an important part in the modern medical science. At present, there have already had a great deal of articles to describe the 3D visualization of scalar data, such as the CT, MRI images etc. But there are less articles about 3D visualization of anatomy images. In addition , because the restriction of accuracy and gray of the CT and the MR, the following development toward the virtual human will be based on the colorful anatomy images. This article mainly studied the visualization of anatomy images.The main special features of this article includes the use of the RGB color space to carry on the visualization. The most important aspect about the choice of the color space is that it is good to use and uses easily. The use of RGB color space not only saved the design of the color transfer function and the work of conversion, but also it can describe the original color information and the relation of different tissue. This can help people to understand the structure of themselves.In addition, this article made use of the RGB color information to withdraw the target object. The images of the male visible human included bubble and other dots during the period of freezing. If directly used the original images, it will influence the result. So we made use of the property the red, green, blue to clean background. this method is simple, the calculation is small and the result is good.In the end, this article designed special opacity transfer function. A good opacity transfer function can visualize the important structure of human, and not be blocked off. Our opacity transfer function made use of a method of edge detection, converted it from 2D to 3D, and took the biggest value as grads. This method can visualize the information more clearly.This study prepared for the project of the virtual physical human and the virtual living human. It also can be used for the development of the teaching software and provide vivid teaching tool for the medical college.
