Research On The Appliction Of Smart Card Certification To Database Systems

With the development of network, the amount of information is growing up quickly, Our demand for safety of information is more and more strict. There have many kinds of method for data saving or transmission ,certification of user.The current database systems are quite secure in almost all aspects, but the password for connecting database is not cryptographically passed by client applications. This can be very danger, because some unauthorized person may find it in the software and access or modify the data illegally. Smart card is secure for saving password, but smart card certification is unsupported by current database systems. Some applications only use the data safety of smart card without using its security certification function.Using the trigger mechanism of database system, this paper proposes an effective approach to solving this problem.
