Wherever you are, whether it is day or night, you can know your own position with a positioning receiver at present. A lot of positioning technologies exist in the world and they are widely used, both in military and civil affairs. A positioning technology, within some limits, can provide precise and real time position, speed and time information. Such as GPS in USA, GLONASS in Russia, China's own"BEIDOU", and the mobile phone positioning system, which appears recently.Based on these mature technologies of radio positioning and drawing the experience of GPS, this thesis puts forward a new positioning method, from the utilization of digital TV signals broadcasted by DVB-T systems. This scheme can directly utilize the existing and establishing DTV terrestrial transmitter networks and broadcasting satellites, and pick-up the pseudo-distance between the user terminal (UT) to each DTV transmitters from the DTV data frames. According to these pseudo- distances, special position and moving velocity of UT are computed.By description of this principle of positioning based on DTV signals, the thesis demonstrates its feasibility and accuracy, gives an actual computation case, analyses the errors in positioning, and indicates what to be improved. |
