Research On Real Environment Speech Enhancement Algorithms

Speech under real environment is unavoidable to suffer the influence of environment all round. Speech enhancement is an effective method to solve the noise pollution.The first project is to get pure speech signal from noise speech at receive terminal and improve its quality.We detail the speech enhancement technique in the circumstance of adding noise. First, we provide basic theory of speech signal processing, which is foundation of the research and implement of speech enhancement. Second, we introduce Short-Time-Fourier-Transform namely traditional speech enhancement method such as spectral subtraction, weiner filtering , model method and subspace method etc, and then we compare the advantage and shortcoming of these methods. Third we make detailed discussion on the method based on human auditory masking properties. In addition, we briefly introduce wavelet approaches for enhancing speech. At last we compare the performance of these methods in subjective and objective way.
