Studies And Design Of Routing Policy In Service Selection Gateway

With the development of next generation network , the content and application service will replace the access service and become the core of BroadBand service. In order to make the network service become more people-oriented and personalize,the technology of service selection gateway(SSG) is proposed. It can forward the data flow to the content provider according to the service users visited , control the network resource subtly and make the service provider develop more value-added service.This paper is dedicated to the studies and design of routing policy in Service Selection Gateway(SSG). Firstly, by analysing the requirements and functions of SSG, it introduced the detailed design of work procedure and system structure in SSG. Secondly, this paper analyses the IP protocol and routing technology, and put forward the routing policy design principle.The emphasis of this paper is on the research of Linux Kernel framework and Policy Routing technology. According to the routing function in SSG , the technology of multi-route based on the linux policy routing and Netfilter is proposed in this paper and it was applied to the routing policy design in SSG . The method of the SSG routing policy deisgn is building the routing table by Contend provider, marking the IP packets which is related to service and application, and configuring that IP packets search for the routing table according to the marks on it . At last ,the technology is applied to an application case, and the detailed configuration is given in this paper.
