The condition monitoring of revolving machinery can reduce the cost of devices maintenance, keep the security of manufacture and increase the use of devices.Considering the large cost of Large monitoring device and the problem which is called "Monitoring Overmuch", we develop a set of Embedded condition monitoring of Revolving machinery based on WinCE, it has the ability of minitype-monitoring station, making data processing and fault diagnosis effectively, moreover, it can be taken for the small size.The system uses the S3C2410 as the kernel of the hardware, transplanting the embedded Windows CE as the operation system, developing the device driver and the application program.The paper advances a method of hardware and software of embedded condition monitoring of Revolving machinery based on WinCE. Firstly, it describes the whole background and the actual significance, Secondly, it introduces the embedded concept, then it details the hardware design, mainly the processor and the hardware system of each module's electric circuit design, and then it goes into the system platform operating system transplantation, which contents modification of the Boot Loader, reduction of the Windows CE kernel. Finally it presents the designing of the device driver and the application program.The primary function of the system are: user could make a setting to choose past data or new data to be analyzed; user could manage the data files; user could manage the power supply; user could make a system setting and so on.The tools used are Platform Builder and Embedded Visual C++.It is a new trying to develop embedded condition monitoring of Revolving machinery based on WinCE. Excellencies of the system are: friendly interface, dependable capability, high-rate data acquisition and software extensibility.
