Multi-channel Digital Synchronized Log Based On Real-time LINUX

Multi-channel digital synchronized log is for recording the radar/voice data, controlling and avoiding air traffic accidents. The applying fields always have a requirement of lots of important data to record and high security.With the boom of applying field of recorder, the real time requirement is on horizontal. The old recorder is developed in earlier years and based on share time system, using traditional analysis and design method. It's performance is not good enough as we expect under a heavy overload and can't satisfy the real time requirement. With the maturation of real time system theory and application, our target is to use the sophisticated technology to design and develop a cheap real time multi-channel digital sync log based on real time LINUX. it is a new shoot in this field and have some contribution to the this field in china.Today, there are several real time operation system in market for example, QNX and RT-LINUX. But they have some disadvantage in our field for example QNX can't support SCSI tape device which we used in our system. in the other hand, from the design option, they can't get the best performance in the special field of recorder.In the last years, LINUX have a boom and new version of kernel is developed one after another.
