The detector of parallelism is an important testing machine.The detectors in this paper are principally used to examine optic-axes error and some accuracy of optical theodolite,such as perpendicularity of visual and horizontal axes,perpendicularity of horizontal and vertical axes,shaking of any optic-axes etc.It is a series of production.The detectors of parallelism that invented have many uses.They can detect the parallelism of visible light,laser and infrared.One of detectors is named parallelism detector of laser and infrared.It is invented by a lot of contrast experiments.We put many materials in the focus ,then laser make one of them eradiate infrared which can be seen in infrared receiver.For making higher accuracy,design idea,assembly technique ,testing results,questions and resolvent in the work are analyzed systemically.Their functions can substitute for some uses of large diameter plane mirror,0.2″light pipe,major diameter light pipe,arch type detector,T type detector and so on.They have a lot of merits,for example,higher accuracy,easy testing,easy carrying,multifunction etc.At last,we get the conclusion that the accuracy of the parallelism detector is less than±2″.
