In power system, the splice of electrical equipment often presents overheating faults, which influence economic benefit and system stability. So it is very important for us to assure system stability of electrical equipment in power system. This paper uses fiber Bragg grating as the sensor of on-line monitoring system of electrical equipment. The system has the significance for the safety analyzing, local monitoring and remote monitoring in the great engineering.At present, the majority of electrical factory and transformer substation adopt electrical signal sensor to measure temperature, but some localization lies in them more or less; the scan time lasts quite a long time in traditional fiber temperature measuring system. However, fiber Bragg grating is an insulator and is small, and it has the advantages of low-price, simple-structure, safety, no electromagnetic interference, so are particularly suit for measuring temperature, strain and stress.In view of existing on-line inspection situation of electrical equipment in our country, we designed FBG demodulation system based on DSP as one part of electric equipment temperature on-line monitoring system. The adoption of DSP makes the system implement the speed and accuracy of demodulation, the real-time signal dispose of high-capability and remote real-time monitoring based on network.The basic theory and demodulation technology for FBG sensor have been discussed in detail in this article. The main content includes: the fundamental principle of fiber grating sensor; contrast analysis of multiple-demodulation technologies and the F-P filter demodulation is introduced in detail; the design of demodulation system based on DSP system.
