Study On Validity Maintaining And Feature Conversion In Multi-views Feature Modeling

Multi-views feature modeling is formed by combining current engineering with feature modeling .As a kind of integrated feature modeling ,it is introduced to product design development and is a new method , by which higher-quality products can be produced within short time, so it is also a major goal of product development. Multi-views feature modeling can provide corresponding view to support product design development in every phase. Each view includes the instructions of the product's feature model, moreover,besides all feature models of views represent the same product, so they must keep consistent. Feature conversion is a key technique of multi-views feature modeling, whose major problem is that it can't go on with feature conversion when the invalid view exists or a consistent view can't be created in the product model, which is a problem to be solved urgently.The paper mainly studies views of multi-views feature modeling in each phase, and it puts forward a maintaining method for three feature modification types of enhanced multi-views semantic feature modeling in HUST-CAIDS. The method combines link constraints with feature updating method, in which link constraints are used to solve the first feature modification, while feature updating method is used to solve the second feature modification,but no method is found to solve the third feature modification. At the same time, a new method is proposed for present problems existing in feature conversion of multi-views feature modeling, and it employs automatically adjustment strategy of the HUST-CAIDS, in which stimulation is carried out.
