TiO2 and TiO2 compound semiconductor powers was produced by Sol-Gel, and they were used to degrade wastewater from fermented molasses and methyl-orange. This paper studied the influence of compound semiconductor on the photocatalytic degradation of organic substance. X-ray diffraction and UV-Vis diffuse reflection spectra was used to study the compound semiconductor powder. And the mechanism of compound semiconductor inducing the change of photocatalytic activity of TiO2 powders is analyzed from phase analysis (X-ray diffraction), spectra analysis (UV-Vis diffuse reflection spectra) and the semiconductor energy theory. This study has instructive significance and academic value for the photooxidation of organic polluted substance, and important theory value and practical significance specially for developing composite titanium dioxide material and applying the photocatalytic technology.The main results of this paper are following:(1) TiO2 compound semiconductor powers was used to degradate methyl orange...
