Along with the development of computer network and communication technology, it has become an intense requirement for the mainframe moving among the subnets. As a supplement to the conventional IP protocol ,the mobile IP protocol, provides a solution for the mobile computers to roam freely through the subnets. In mobile IP, home agents bind the home address of a mobile node to its care of address so that they can tunnel the packets addressing to the home address of a mobile node to its care of address later. However, when the foreign subnets are far away from the home network, the signal packets must cross the backbone network,which might lead to the increasing of the traffic of the backbone and the registration delay. So IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force) proposes a draft of hierarchical mobile IPV6 using the mobility anchor point to achieve the communication between the mobile node and the correspondent. According to this draft, if the mobile node and the communication node is in the same domain, the route is not optimal .Owing to that, IETF proposed the HMIPV6 draft, using the MAP to manage the communication.Based on that,this thesis analyzes the route of HMIPV6, and proves that it is not the the best route when the mobile node and the correspondent are in the same domain. Besides,the scheme is suitable for those frequent nodes.Then according the timeliness,a kind of local route optimization scheme is designed.Although it can reduce the time of transmission,yet the cost of binding increase.And thus a self-adaptive local route optimization scheme is put forward to balance the trade-off between the binding update cost and route optimization.The GRO scheme is selected when the time for the communication is the dominant.Apart from that,when mobile frequency is considered crucial,the LRO scheme is selected.And then models of schemes will be established,combining the theoretical analysis and imitating expenments.Based on that,an analysis of the time of the communication,the time of the interrupt of the correspondent,the delay of the transmitting and the cost will be carried on,and show a better function.
