Research Of The Medical Image Processing And Transmitting System Based On Wavelet

Along with the quick development of the medical and health undertaking of our country, the material circumstance of the medical treatment have improved quickly, medical image processing systems are being used more and more in modern hospitals. But because of the restrict of the economic level and no good solution of some pivotal technique, the research and application are still in the early stage. Especially, the image processing functions are weak in the medical image processing systems that applying in hospitals, and only traditional image processing methods of space field and frequency field are adopted. In view of the defects of them, we have designed a terrace of medical image processing and transmitting system. In the system, we used SAN and database to store image data, and designed programming to transmit image data on local area network, then we researched the medical image enhancement using wavelet transform for actual medical image, and compared the result to that of traditional methods. The comparisons show that the method of wavelet transform is better than traditional methods in the medical image enhancement.
