With the great development of the digitized technology, people have paid more attention to the technology of digital video signal transmission. video communications require very much bandwidth in comparisonwith other information types such as text and data. Thus to adapt with thebandwidth-limited channels, especially wireless channels, video sourcemust be compressed extremely. As the code technology of digital video developed constantly and being more andmore mature, a large number of video code application schemes have appeared.H.264 is the prevalentest international video coding standard. The standard has greatlyenhanced coding performance relative to the traditional video coding standards, becauseit has adopted many fire-new coding technologies. Inter-frame encoding technology is the key technology of video coding standard, it accounts for about 50 to 80 percent of the whole encoding computation, so it is the most challenging research topic in video encoding.After discussing sorts of motion estimation algorithms, this thesis integrates excellent ideas promoted earily, and advances these algorithms, optimizes modes of algorithms, finally, I promots inter-frame ecoding algorithm.my main work is how to select module while partitioning modes and how to search modes after partitioned. While partitioning modes, accoding to similar attributes of the frenquency of modes, skiping some modes and optimizing them , eventually promoting the effection of selecting. When matching best blocks, three modules substitute two diamond search algorithm in order to promoting effection of searching.Eventually, simulating standard testing sequence based on MATLAB. Testing results indicates that the new quick search algorithm promotes speed of coding under the un-envidece anamorphic conditions.
