The Research On Software Architecture Analysis And Evaluation Methods

Software quality is always an important issue in the domain of software and most software fail with quality problem. For the software developed is more and more complex, the architecture-based software development mode is the main one.The correct evaluation of software architecture is very important to ensure the quality of software product and management of software development process.Therefore the analysis and evaluation of architecture are necessary at present.In this paper the recent representative SA analysis and evaluation methods and supporting tools are introduced and reviewed.With the research of these methods this paper provide a new method of Scenario-based Architecture Analysis Method for Modifiability(SAAMM) extending the method of SAAM. This method uses the idea of SAAM and extracts the technology of SAAMCS, ALPSM and ALMA. So it can predict the cost of software maintenance and evaluate the risk of system.At last,this paper recommend a project which has been finished by the author according to the requirement of HeiLongJiang Mobile Communications Corporation.The architecture analysis process for modifiability of this system is introduced.The analysis result can predict the cost of maintenance and exposure the system risk. So the conclusion can be found that this method is valid.
